THE OSCARS 2014

I must say, the ladies at the Oscars 2014 looked better than ever~ stately, intelligent, beautiful.  For once the gowns were classic yet not boring, and the smiles seemed genuine enough!

Where to start?

I would say Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett. What a wonderful gown! A nude Armani, embellished with Swarovski crystals. These crystals shimmer as bright as her baby blues. 

Regard her hands, tough to stand like that with nothing to keep the fingers occupied, and somehow Cate does it having them hang so naturally. Cate looks like a perfect little doll! 

She is adorned in Chopard earrings, such fun for a serious gown. And what a truly humble speech, her makeup artist makes her look good and she gives a BIG thank you!

And Matthew Mcconaughey, congratulations to you too for Best Actor!  You have worked long hours in Hollywood, and deserve your night. Very nice of you, and a blessing, to escort in both your mother, and your lovely wife Camila Alves~

Best Actor with Mom and Wife Camila

Matthew's mom looks young, alert and vibrant, and wife Camila is regal and stately, including a matching clutch bag reminiscent of prom night. Her hand is beautifully positioned, draped in pale pink, the bag a perfect size. Camila is draped in a Grabriella Cadena gown.
