Mostly everyone has learned about the color wheel from an art class here and there, but how does it apply to the face? What is it, really? Today's lesson is in color application as a new color palette for your face makeup: try something new!
Firstly, I present to you the color wheel:
This link describes the basic color wheel, primary colors, secondary and terciary too, and how these color schemes can fit into your decor or really whatever you are designing. Including your face!
Let's begin. Look at your face as a canvas, plain and simple and ready for application of color, line and paint. Each face has it's own particular characteristics (hence your character!).
Analyze your natural given color tones. So much attention leads to our eyes, so I will make them our focal point, and go from there. Are you a brown-eyed beauty? Blue-eyed ice goddess? Green-eyed vixen, or hazel-eyed star? How does eye color relate to your skin tones and hair color? Brown, black, blonde, redhead, some mix of all?
Determine how your eyes best fit into your personal color scheme. Be objective when looking at the relationships.Think of who you are, what is your personality? What do you want to improve upon?
Keeping all this in mind, let's go back to the face now. KNOW YOUR COLOR SCHEME!
